Martin is just as he looks, rough and tough. He welds, he does ice sculptures, anything to do with a torch or saw he can do it and does it well. He is a tough guy to please because he expects nothing short of perfection when it comes to others work. But he isn't going to stand by while you struggle. He understands natural flaws and is willing to help in any way he can to make others lives more pleasant. He works hard at what he does and expects the same from everyone else. He is also set in his ways, wearing kilts to work, not bending to others whims as easily as they would hope. But where would the fun in all that be? He also has a soft spot for the theater portion of art and will often sneak into the classes he isn't teaching just to admire the students work.

Bio:
Martin isn't one to simply blab about his past (while sober), but there have been occassions where a word or two has slipped about it. What is known is Martin was adopted by a lovely family in the islands. The mother was a stay at home mom whom loved to paint, the father worked as a carver. With art all around him it was easy to see why he picked it up so quickly. He was mentored by some of the most famous carvers and glass blowers around. Traveling anywhere he could to be taught. When he was twenty three he went to college and obtained his masters in the fine arts. There he met with Dmitri and was brought to the University to be mentored by the art professor who was to take the job... when he was struck ill and had to be replaced Martin took the job temporarily... which has now become permanent.
